Tab Hoarder Rescue
Overview
Tame tab overload: group tabs by site, spot ones you forgot about, and snapshot/restore whole sessions.
Do you open a tab "just for a second" and still have it open three days later? Tab Hoarder Rescue helps you take back control without forcing you to change how you browse. **Group by site, instantly** One click groups your open tabs by domain — all your GitHub tabs together, all your docs together, all your shopping tabs together. On browsers with native tab groups, it uses them directly; everywhere else, it neatly reorders tabs into the same clusters. **Never lose track of a forgotten tab** Tab Hoarder Rescue quietly tracks how long it's been since you last looked at each tab. Anything idle past your threshold (30 minutes by default, fully adjustable) shows up in one list — close it individually or clear all stale tabs in a single click. **Snapshot your session, restore it anytime** Save your current window as a named snapshot before a big cleanup, an OS restart, or just because you want to switch contexts. Restore it later and every tab reopens exactly where you left off. **See your tab count at a glance** A toolbar badge shows your live tab count and turns red once you cross a limit you set — an early warning before things get out of hand. **Privacy first** Everything — your tab activity timestamps, your settings, your saved snapshots — stays in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent anywhere, there's no account, no analytics, and no ads.
