Overview

Blocks suspicious tab hijacks and tab-under redirects while keeping browsing analysis local.

Tab Guard helps stop websites from hijacking the tab you were already using. Some sites open the page you actually wanted in a new tab while quietly replacing your original tab with another destination. Tab Guard watches for this behaviour and can block the unwanted takeover. Free protection includes Standard and Balanced modes, first-site protection notices, Always Allow controls, Undo, false-positive reporting, basic diagnostics and recent protection history. Tab Guard analyses browsing behaviour locally in your browser. It does not upload your browsing history or page contents for analysis. Pro features are planned for users who want additional control, including Strict protection, custom Always Block rules, extended history and advanced diagnostics. The page you clicked should be the page you get.
