Tab Grouper

Automatically organises tabs into named groups based on configurable base URLs.

Tab Grouper keeps your tabs tidy by sorting them into named, colour-coded Chrome tab groups based on their URL. Set up a group once, like "Jira", "GitHub" or "Test environments", give it one or more base URLs, and every tab that starts with one of those URLs is moved into that group automatically. Open a new ticket, follow a link, or drag a tab in from another window, and it lands in the right place. HOW IT WORKS • Click the toolbar icon on any page to add it to an existing group or create a new one. • Pick how broadly to match: the whole site (www.example.com) or a specific section (www.example.com/projects). • Choose from Chrome's nine group colours. • Turn auto-sort on or off at any time, or hit "Organise all tabs now" to sort everything in one go. EXCLUSIONS Some pages should never be moved. Exclude any URL from auto-sort with one click, and it stays exactly where you put it, even if it matches a group. It reads tab URLs only to match them against your rules. Nothing is collected, tracked or sent anywhere. Your groups are saved with Chrome sync so they follow you across devices. Works with light and dark mode. Pinned tabs are left alone.
