Tab Group Vault gives Chrome tab groups a dependable safety net. Protect the tabs you do not want to close accidentally, or keep a restorable local snapshot of an entire group for later. Open the extension popup, choose a tab group, and select its protection mode: - **Instant** protects individual tabs. If you close one tab in the protected group, it is reopened in the same group. Closing the entire group is still allowed and moves its snapshot to Saved groups. - **Snapshot** tracks the group's current tabs without reopening individually closed tabs. When the group is closed, it remains in Saved groups for one-click restoration. Restoration recreates the group's tab order, name, color, collapsed state, and approximate position in an available Chrome window. Saved groups remain available after a browser restart.
