Most people open YouTube to watch one specific thing. Most people end up watching something completely different. It is not a willpower problem. YouTube's interface is built by hundreds of engineers whose job is to maximize the time you spend on the platform. The home feed, the sidebar, Shorts, autoplay — none of these exist for your benefit. Tab Focus Guard removes them. You decide what stays and what goes. Hide the home feed and replace it with a clean page. Remove Shorts entirely. Turn off the recommended sidebar so you can watch a video without being pulled toward the next one. Disable autoplay. Each option is independent — enable what you need, ignore the rest. It does not communicate with any server, does not collect any data, and does not require an account. Your preferences are saved on your device and nowhere else.
