Overview

Send tabs and links from Chrome to Firefox with a right-click. Requires the free Tab Ferry helper app for Windows.

Send tabs and links from Chrome to Firefox with a single right-click. IMPORTANT: Tab Ferry needs a small, free helper app on your computer (Windows 10/11 only). Browsers can't open other browsers on their own, so the helper receives the link from Chrome and opens it in Firefox. After installing the extension, a welcome page walks you through setting it up. Download the helper: https://github.com/DZhang3210/chrome-firefox-tab-switcher/releases/latest HOW TO USE • Right-click anywhere on a page → "Send to Firefox". The page opens in Firefox and the Chrome tab closes. • Right-click a link → "Open link in firefox" to open just that link. • Pin Tab Ferry to your toolbar (puzzle-piece icon → pin) and click it to check that the helper is installed and up to date. SETUP 1. Install this extension. A welcome page opens with the next steps. 2. Download and run TabFerrySetup.exe from the link above. No admin rights are needed. 3. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" → "Run anyway". The installer isn't code-signed yet; the helper is open source, so you can check the code first. PRIVACY Tab Ferry collects no data. The only thing it sends is the URL of the tab or link you choose, and only to the helper app on your own computer, which passes it straight to Firefox. Nothing is sent over the internet. UNINSTALLING Removing the extension doesn't remove the helper app. To remove it as well, click the Tab Ferry icon → "Uninstall helper app" before removing the extension, or go to Windows Settings → Apps → Tab Ferry Helper at any time.
