)Overview
Find your way back. No tab organizing required. Highlight up to five most-used tabs and jump back from one simple list.
You had it open. Where did it go? Tab Dot leaves a small signpost on the tabs you use most. It picks up to five tabs across the normal windows in your Chrome profile and adds a static arc to their icons. Start with bright green or choose your own RGB color in Settings. Open the extension to see their titles and sites, then click to go straight back. • Spot your tabs: a static highlight makes selected icons easier to find. • Jump straight back: choose a tab in the list to switch to its window and page. • Based on time used: tabs are chosen by estimated active time in the foreground, not importance or productivity. • Take a pause: Pause stops tracking and highlights, and restores original icons. Records stay available for the current session. • English and Korean: start in your Chrome language, or choose a language in Settings. Start by browsing as usual. After a visit of at least five seconds, the list and highlights update on a tab switch, a popup check, or the next one-minute check. If only three tabs have valid usage, you will see three, not five. Records cover up to 24 hours in the current browser session. Time stays with a tab when you move to another site; the time beside its current page title is the total for that tab. Closing the tab, restarting the browser, reloading the extension, or updating it starts a fresh usage record. Losing site access clears affected records; a host-permission removal event clears all totals because they combine time across sites. Your language and pause preference are kept. Usage records stay in your browser and are not sent out. Tab Dot does not collect page text or anything you type. Reading an original icon may make an image request to that site. Access to websites is used to apply and restore icons on supported pages. Because highlights are visible in the page, the site may infer that its tab was selected or which displayed rank group it belongs to. Requires Chrome 132 or later. Supports normal HTTP and HTTPS web pages; Chrome internal pages, incognito windows, and PDFs are excluded. Some sites may prevent highlights through their security policy or icon updates. Automatic highlighting does not wake sleeping tabs; clicking a tab to return to it can. Tab Dot does not close, rearrange, or group your tabs. It simply helps you find your way back.
