Tab Curfew
Overview
Closes tabs you haven't used in a while, automatically. Keeps a clickable list of everything it closed.
Tab Curfew closes tabs you have stopped using, without asking you to review a list first. Every five minutes it looks for tabs whose last-accessed time is older than four hours, closes them, and adds each one to a list in the toolbar popup. Click any entry in that list to reopen the tab. The list keeps the most recent 200 closed tabs and survives browser restarts. WHY IT IS SAFE - The active tab is never closed. - Pinned tabs and tabs playing audio are never closed. - Browser pages, extension pages, and DevTools are never closed. - Tabs on your allowlist are never closed. - Tabs are only closed after they pass the time span you choose (four hours by default). - Pause automatic closing for an hour from the popup at any time. PRIVACY Tab Curfew works entirely on your device. It has no host permissions, no content scripts, and no network code. Settings, last-active timestamps, and the closed-tab list are stored in chrome.storage.local and never transmitted. The list can be cleared from the popup. The tab list is a safety net, not a history replacement: reopening an entry creates a fresh tab, so its back/forward history is not restored.
