Tab Autopsy is a local-first Chrome extension that helps you understand and clean up messy browser sessions. If you keep dozens of tabs open for research, comparison shopping, unfinished tasks, reading lists, or temporary reminders, Tab Autopsy gives you a practical report instead of another pile of manual tab work. Features: - Scan all open tabs across Chrome windows - See total tabs, windows, grouped tabs, and ungrouped tabs - Detect exact duplicate tabs - Detect near-duplicate tabs after URL cleanup - Identify likely search-result residue - Score tabs with clear reasons - Suggest task clusters from related tabs - Create Chrome tab groups from suggested clusters - Save groups of tabs as local Task Packs - Restore saved Task Packs later - Switch between light and dark mode - Switch between English and Chinese - Clear all local extension data at any time Safety first: - Tab Autopsy never closes tabs automatically - Duplicate cleanup always requires confirmation - Pinned tabs are not closed by default - The active tab is not closed by default - At least one tab is kept in every duplicate group Privacy: Tab Autopsy analyzes your open tabs locally in your browser. Your tab titles and URLs are not uploaded. The extension does not use remote AI APIs, analytics, accounts, or cloud sync.
