Overview

Converts live web UI into an LLM-native semantic state protocol with an autonomous multi-tab tool-calling agent loop.

# SynapseWeb — Autonomous AI Browser Agent SynapseWeb is an autonomous browser agent for Google Chrome that translates live web interfaces into a semantic state protocol, enabling Large Language Models to interact with webpages and manage multi-tab browser workflows. Instead of transmitting full-screen captures or unstructured raw HTML, SynapseWeb extracts structured accessibility trees and interactive elements with unique target identifiers. The agent determines required actions, executes them, and continuously re-observes the page until your task is complete. --- ### Key Capabilities * **Autonomous Multi-Step Execution**: Automatically navigates webpages, fills forms, clicks buttons, and executes multi-stage tasks. * **Multi-Tab Orchestration**: Discovers open tabs, switches focus, creates tab groups, and executes cross-tab actions. * **Developer & Notebook Support**: Native support for interactive coding environments (Google Colab, Kaggle, Jupyter) and AI chat interfaces with keyboard shortcut execution. * **Interactive HUD & Popup**: Access the agent via a floating in-page control HUD or the extension popup. * **Execution Control**: Toggle between full autonomous execution and step-by-step manual approval with instant cancellation. * **Live Inspection Timeline**: View real-time model reasoning, tool invocations, and DOM state deltas. --- ### Supported Providers (Bring-Your-Own-Key) SynapseWeb operates on a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) model and connects directly to your chosen provider: * **Google Gemini**: Gemini 2.5 Flash, 3.6 Flash, and Pro via Google AI Studio. * **Groq Cloud**: High-speed inference via Groq API. * **OpenRouter**: Access to open-weights and proprietary models. --- ### Privacy & Data Security * **Direct Client-Side Communication**: Requests are dispatched directly from your browser to your selected AI provider. No intermediary proxy servers are used. * **Local Storage**: API credentials and session data remain securely stored in `chrome.storage.local`. * **Zero Telemetry**: No tracking, analytics, or behavioral data collection. --- ### Getting Started 1. Open the extension popup or floating widget and navigate to **Settings**. 2. Select your AI provider and enter your API key. 3. Open any webpage, enter your instruction in the prompt bar, and click **Run Agent**.
