Select text on any webpage 2. SynapseClean compacts it using one of three triggers (below) 3. Paste the cleaned output into your AI chat Compaction pipeline: • HTML-to-Markdown — preserves headings, lists, and structure from your selection • Rule-based strip — removes nav crumbs, cookie banners, ads, footers, and duplicate lines • Gemini Nano (optional) — semantic refinement when Chrome’s on-device AI is available THREE WAYS TO COMPACT Auto-compact on copy Select text and copy normally (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C). When auto-compact is enabled and your selection meets the minimum character threshold, SynapseClean compacts before write-back to the clipboard. Keyboard shortcut Select text and press Alt+Shift+C (Option+Shift+C on Mac). Compacts instantly without copying first. Remap in chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Settings and usage stats live in chrome.storage.local on your device and are removed when you uninstall.
