Swoop is a tab switcher you drive with a gesture. Hold Alt (or Ctrl+Shift, or the right mouse button), an eight-slice wheel opens under your cursor, you aim, you release. You are on the tab. Alt-Tab for your tabs, minus the list to read. With thirty tabs open across three windows, the tab strip stopped being a way to find anything a long time ago. Swoop gives you a target you can hit without looking at it. SWITCH TABS WITH A GESTURE - Hold, aim, release. Nothing to click, nothing to read. - Peek: while you stay near the centre you are LOOKING at a tab, not going to it. Release there and you come back where you were, your tab order untouched. Cross the edge and you stay. - Keyboard or mouse: the number keys 1 to 8 aim at the same slices, Enter confirms, Esc goes home. - Your tab groups are destinations: step inside one and the wheel becomes that group's. A collapsed group is collapsed again behind you. - Three triggers shipped (Alt, Ctrl+Shift, right mouse button), each one switchable in the settings: yours is not up for debate with anyone else's browser. TAB SEARCH (Pro) Park the wheel, type three letters: the eight slices become your best matching tabs, across every window, including the one behind. No list to scroll, no result to click. BUILD YOUR OWN WHEEL (Pro) Pin a page, a site, a tab group or a folder to the number you choose. That slot never moves again, which is what lets you aim without looking. A closed tab reopens at its address, a closed group keeps its place. TAB HISTORY: REOPEN A CLOSED TAB, OR A WHOLE WINDOW Wind time back, find the state of yesterday morning's work, reopen a closed tab or a whole window at once, inside its original tab group. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW - The wheel cannot open on the browser's own pages (chrome://, about:, the New Tab page, the Web Store, the PDF viewer). No extension is allowed there; the tab strip stays your way around. - Without Pro, slices are filled by recent use, so they move as your day moves. The slots you set are the ones that do not. - Everything stays on your machine: no account, no server of ours. The slots you set are also copied, without the pictures, into your browser's own synced storage, so your wheel comes back on a new profile or a new computer. You can also save it to a file, and restore it from one, in the settings. PRIVACY Swoop has no server and no account, and collects nothing. Your tab history is written to your own browser's storage, erased once it is 30 days old, and never leaves unless you export it yourself. The only thing that travels is a copy of your slots, carried by your browser's own sync account (Google or Mozilla), never by us, and only if you are signed in to it. You can pause the recording in the settings, and erase the whole history with one button. Private windows are never recorded, and their tabs never show up in the wheel of another window. PERMISSIONS Swoop asks for access to all sites, which your browser sums up as "read and change all your data". That is the price of a wheel that opens EVERYWHERE: it draws its circle on top of the page and listens there for your gesture.
