Overview

Tinder-style card view for the YouTube home and subscriptions feeds. Swipe through one video at a time: dismiss, queue, or watch.

I initially made this as a quick way to *curate* my homepage via YouTube's "Not Interested" feature. Then I realized its actually pretty good for simply browsing the home and sub feeds as well. SEAMLESS WITH NORMAL YOUTUBE • Toggle anytime: press V or click the SwipeTube button in YouTube's top bar (next to Create) to flip between cards and the normal grid — instantly, no page reload. • Position memory: switching views, opening a video, or hopping to a channel and back resumes exactly where you left off. Home and Subscriptions remember their positions separately. • Keep watching while you swipe: a "Watch in miniplayer" setting decides whether Watch button opens the full watch page, plays in the corner miniplayer, or follows YouTube's native queue behavior. • On a watch page, the same button (or V) takes you back to your feed in card view while the video keeps playing in the miniplayer. • Ads, Shorts, and auto-generated mixes are skipped automatically. • Dark mode follows YouTube's. OPTIONS • Default view per feed: grid, cards, or remember last used — set separately for Home and Subscriptions. • Action buttons: a compact row where holding Shift swaps in the extra actions (default), or a layout showing all buttons at once. PRIVATE BY DESIGN SwipeTube has no server of its own and never copies your feed. It works by driving YouTube's real interface on the real page — the normal grid stays live underneath, so YouTube's own state is always the single source of truth. No data collection (except YouTube's own). The only permissions it asks for are youtube.com (to run there) and storage (to save your preferences). GOOD TO KNOW • "Not interested", "Hide channel", "Add to queue", and "Unsubscribe" are YouTube features that require being signed in. • Desktop youtube.com only — mobile (m.youtube.com) is not supported. • Not tied to English YouTube: menu actions are matched language-independently.
