Overview
Creates a local clean-language filter and mutes selected portions of YouTube videos.
SwearSoap helps clean up language in YouTube videos by automatically muting selected language during playback. This extension works together with the free SwearSoap desktop application for Windows. Both are required. No account or login is needed, and audio is processed locally on your computer. Download the Windows app and follow the setup instructions: https://trogdoor.github.io/SwearSoap/install.html Current limitation: Videos interrupted by YouTube ads may not clean correctly. SwearSoap requires uninterrupted, ad-free playback while preparing a video. Automated filtering may miss words or mute something unexpectedly. SwearSoap is a small independent project currently intended primarily for family and friends. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
