SwatchDay: Custom Colors for Calendar
Overview
Color Google Calendar events by keyword, with any hex color and readable text. On your device only. No tracking.
SwatchDay recolors Google Calendar events in Chrome with keyword rules you choose. Match titles that contain a word, start with it, or match exactly. Pick any hex color. Text switches between dark and light so it stays readable. Turn coloring off without losing your rules. Color a single event from the dot on that event. Hover brings an overlapping event forward. Right-click, Alt-click, or Alt+C opens the same color picker when the dot is covered. Export and import settings as JSON. A new install has no rules, so the calendar keeps its own colors until you add one. The first matching rule wins. Matching ignores case. Rules and colors stay in Chrome's local storage on your computer. SwatchDay does not read calendars through Google's API, does not send data anywhere, and does not include analytics. Tips are optional, and every feature is free. Colors show in the desktop browser on day, week, month, and schedule views. Schedule keeps the list row and recolors the event's color dot. Colors are not synced to the Calendar mobile app.
