SwarmSight Worker (Reddit)

A lightweight Chrome worker that polls for jobs, searches Reddit comments, and sends raw page data back to the server.

SwarmSight Worker turns your own browser into a Reddit research assistant for your SwarmSight workspace. Most Reddit monitoring tools need an API key and a lengthy approval process before you can track a single keyword. This worker does not. It runs searches from your normal, already-signed-in browser session and sends the public results back to your SwarmSight account, so you can start monitoring conversations straight away. WHAT IT DOES • Runs Reddit comment and post searches on the schedule you set in SwarmSight • Returns public post and comment data to your workspace for scoring, alerting and analysis • Checks that you are signed in to Reddit, so scheduled jobs do not fail silently • Optionally helps you create a Reddit API application and saves those credentials to your own account, if you later want SwarmSight to reply on your behalf HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. 2. Open SwarmSight, go to Reddit setup, and choose "Connect my worker automatically". 3. The worker picks up jobs from your account, runs them in a tab, and reports the results back. PRIVACY The extension reads only reddit.com and talks only to your SwarmSight server. It never sees or handles your Reddit password, and no Reddit content or API credentials are written to browser storage.
