Type your search term and your replacement, hit Replace, and Swapify instantly scans the entire page and replaces every matching instance. A live counter shows you exactly how many matches exist before you commit to replacing — so you always know what you're working with. The find and replace fields update in real time as you type, highlighting matches directly on the page so you can visually confirm what will be affected. 📋 BULK FIND & REPLACE The bulk mode is where Swapify truly shines. Add as many find-and-replace pairs as you need — there's no limit. Each row has its own numbered find and replace field, and every row gets its own live match counter badge that updates as you type. This means you can set up 10, 20, or even 50 replacements and fire them all at once with a single click. All rules are applied atomically in a single pass — no race conditions, no missed replacements, no conflicts between rules. Use bulk mode to: • Rename multiple variables across a documentation page • Replace placeholder text with real content • Swap out multiple words or phrases in one shot • Clean up repetitive or unwanted text across a long article 📝 TEXT TAB A self-contained find & replace editor for working on a piece of text outside the current webpage. Paste or type any document into the editor, run find & replace on it, and copy the result. ✨ LIVE HIGHLIGHTING As you type in the find field, Swapify highlights every matching instance on the page in real time with a subtle purple outline. This gives you instant visual feedback so you can verify your search term is targeting exactly the right text before replacing. Highlights update automatically as your search term changes, and clear cleanly when you clear the field or after a replacement is made. 🎛️ MATCH OPTIONS Every search — whether single or bulk — supports four powerful matching options: • Match Case — makes your search case-sensitive, so "Hello" won't match "hello" • Ignore Case — the opposite, matches regardless of capitalisation • Whole Word — only matches the full word, so searching "cat" won't match "concatenate" • Regex — full regular expression support for advanced pattern-based find and replace These options can be mixed and matched to give you precise control over exactly what gets replaced. ↩️ UNDO & REDO Made a replacement you didn't intend? No problem. Swapify has a full undo and redo system. Hit the undo button to instantly revert the last replacement, or redo to reapply it. You can undo and redo multiple steps, giving you the confidence to experiment freely without worrying about permanently changing the page. 🖥️ THREE INTERFACE MODES Swapify adapts to how you like to work: • Popup Mode — the classic Chrome extension popup, opens above the toolbar icon. Quick and out of the way. • Side Panel Mode — opens Swapify in Chrome's built-in side panel so it stays open alongside the page you're working on. Scroll the page, switch tabs, and Swapify stays right there. • Floating Panel Mode — injects a draggable, resizable floating widget directly onto the page. Position it wherever you want, resize it to suit your screen, and work without ever leaving the page. The floating panel is fully isolated from the host page's CSS so it looks consistent on every website. Switch between modes instantly using the buttons in the header — your rules and settings carry over seamlessly. ⌨️ KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS Assign up to four custom keyboard shortcuts to your most-used rule groups. Trigger your favourite replacements instantly from the keyboard without touching the mouse. Configure your shortcuts from Chrome's extension keyboard shortcut settings (chrome://extensions/shortcuts). 📋 PASTE FROM CLIPBOARD Every find and replace field has a built-in paste button — tap it to instantly paste your clipboard content into that field. No need to manually select the field and use keyboard shortcuts. Especially useful when pasting long search terms or complex regex patterns. 🌙 DARK MODE Swapify fully supports dark mode. Toggle it from the settings button in the header and the entire interface switches to a deep purple dark theme — easy on the eyes for late-night work sessions. 🔒 PRIVACY FIRST Swapify works entirely locally in your browser. For bulk replacements, switch to the Bulk tab and add as many rows as you need. To keep Swapify open while browsing, switch to Side Panel or Floating mode from the header buttons.
