I purchased Surfshark Antiivirus and VPN up to 2027. The AT&T WIFI has connection issues or the browser disconnects. So, I turn Surfshark off! I didn't purchase Surfshark for these constant problems. Whether I use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Duckduckgo browser there is a connection issue during time I use it. I'll stick with Surfshark but I don't know about the future.
Hi Clarence. It might help to try changing the connection protocol in the app settings or switching servers. If these steps don't resolve the issue, please reach out to our team at support@surfshark.com or via live chat, and we'll help find a solution together.

Very annoying issue being prompted for login credentials for "proxy server" on browser opening, which appears to be a surfshark specific issue across ALL browsers for their extension in which you're prompted, enter them, and it does nothing and asks for it again next tab but are signed in through the extension itself already... I've had it quite literally lock up my entire browser refusing to let me navigate anywhere until I shut the extension off and back on again.
Hi Matt, this issue usually appears if you're using both the Surfshark desktop app and browser extension at the same time. Using both can cause interference and lead to this 'proxy server' prompt. We recommend disabling the Surfshark app and reinstalling the extension to resolve the problem. If the issue still persists, please contact us at support@surfshark.com or via live chat on our website.

I am impressed with all the options available and it does not noticeably slow down my Chromebook or phone. However, on a recent vacation, I was unable to use it with the hotels wifi. I tried chatting during this, using my phone as a hot spot, but then going back to the hotels internet I could not get through to surfshark extension, app or the website. Google gave me a security warning every time. Very disappointed in the fact I could not use the VPN at a time when I really need it. I am goin... Show more
Hi Gary. Thank you for your feedback. Sometimes, public networks have restrictions that can interfere with VPN connections. We recommend trying the 'NoBorders' mode, which is designed for restrictive networks. If this doesn't help, try changing the connection protocol in your VPN settings, or please reach out to our team at support@surfshark.com or via live chat so we can assist you further.

Works as intended with no problems. While certain websites with confidential information such as bank accounts or health insurance portals require you to turn off SurfShark before you can access them, I think that would be true with any VPN.
