Overview

Dim any web page like virtual sunglasses — per-tab on/off and dimmer, plus a master switch and all-tabs dimmer.

------------------------------------------------------------ DETAILED DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------ Sunshades lays a soft, adjustable shade over any web page — like slipping on a pair of sunglasses for your browser. Bright white pages can be harsh, especially at night. Sunshades lets you dim them to a level that's comfortable for your eyes. Each tab keeps its own darkness, and when you want every tab the same, a master switch and an "all tabs" dimmer let you shade them all at once. FEATURES • On / off switch — turn the shade on or off for the current tab in one click. • Dimmer slider — choose exactly how dark, from light tint to deep shade. • Per-tab memory — every tab keeps its own on/off state and darkness level, even across page reloads. • Master switch — instantly turn the shade off (or back on) on every tab at once, without losing each tab's own setting. • All-tabs dimmer — one slider sets the shade level for every open tab at once, to any darkness you choose; great for shading lots of tabs in one motion. • Works everywhere — applies to normal web pages as you browse. • Works in fullscreen — the shade stays on even when a video player goes fullscreen. • Click-through — the shade never blocks the buttons or links underneath it. • Lightweight & private — no accounts, no tracking; your settings stay on your own computer. HOW TO USE 1. Click the Sunshades icon in your toolbar. 2. Flip the switch on. 3. Drag the dimmer to your preferred darkness. That's it — it remembers next time. 4. For every tab at once: use the Master switch to turn the shade on/off everywhere, and the "All tabs" dimmer to set one shade level across all your open tabs. Note: browsers do not allow extensions to run on their own internal pages (the new-tab page, the settings pages, and the extensions store), so the shade will not appear there. This is normal.
