Extract page text and summarize it with Gemini or a local Ollama model, using your own saved prompts.

SummIT extracts the visible text from the current web page and summarizes it using an LLM you choose, whether that's Google's Gemini API or a local Ollama model running on your own machine. Features - Use your own Gemini API key or connect to a local Ollama server. - Create, edit, and save your own system prompts instead of relying on a fixed prompt. - Control how much of the page is sent to the model for each provider. - Optionally include the different meta data in the request. - Copy or download summaries as Markdown or JSON. - Extract the raw text from a page without sending it to an AI model. - View your five most recent summaries for quick reference. Your data stays on your device unless you choose to send it to your selected AI provider. Requests go directly to Gemini or your local Ollama instance, and the extension itself doesn't collect analytics or track your activity. A full privacy policy is included in the repository.
