SubVoice is a browser extension/add-on that reads visible YouTube subtitles aloud while you watch videos. It can use voices available on your device or an Online TTS option when local voices are not available. 1. What SubVoice Does SubVoice detects the subtitle text currently displayed on a YouTube video and converts it into speech. This is useful when you want to listen to subtitles instead of reading them on screen. 2. Requirements To use SubVoice, you need: - Google Chrome, Chromium-based browser, or Firefox - An internet connection if you use Online TTS - A YouTube video with subtitles or captions available - Captions enabled on the YouTube video 3. How to Install on Chrome 1. Open Chrome. 2. Go to chrome://extensions 3. Turn on Developer mode. 4. Click Load unpacked. 5. Select the Chrome extension folder. 6. Open YouTube and play a video with subtitles. 7. Click the SubVoice icon and enable subtitle reading.
