Capture selected YouTube captions and download them as JSON3 or SRT files.

Download captions already available on YouTube watch pages, or on pages with an embedded YouTube player, as JSON3 or SRT files. How it works • Open a YouTube watch page, or a page that embeds a YouTube video player. • Turn on captions and play or seek the video so YouTube loads a caption track. • Open the extension popup. • Download any captured caption track as JSON3 or SRT. Features • Works on YouTube watch pages and on third-party pages with an embedded YouTube player. • Shows captured source and translated caption tracks separately. • Downloads the selected track directly from its card. • Supports JSON3, YouTube's caption data format, and locally converted SRT. • Does not download video or audio. Privacy • Caption responses are processed and stored temporarily in your browser only. • The extension does not send caption data to external servers. • The extension only reads caption data from the YouTube player (watch page or embedded frame) in the active tab. This extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.
