ENGLISH: Subtask Converter for Todoist lets you turn any existing task into a subtask of another task in just a few clicks and without losing any data. In Todoist there is no quick way to take an existing task and nest it under another one, especially across different projects. This extension fixes exactly that. WHAT IT DOES • Pick the task you want to nest, pick the target (parent) task, click once — done. • Nothing is lost: the task keeps its description, comments, attachments, labels, priority and due date. The task is moved, not recreated. • Automatic project move: if the parent task lives in another project, the task is moved there automatically. • Available in English and German (toggle in the top-right corner). HOW TO USE IT — STEP BY STEP Step 1 — Copy your Todoist API token 1. Open Todoist in your browser (todoist.com) and sign in. 2. Click your profile picture / avatar in the top-left corner and choose "Settings". 3. In the settings sidebar, open "Integrations". 4. At the top, switch to the "Developer" tab. 5. Copy the "API token" shown there. Step 2 — Add the API token to the extension 1. Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar. 2. Click "API token" in the top-right corner of the popup. 3. Paste your token and click "Save & load tasks". 4. Your tasks are loaded — you only need to do this once. Step 3 — Choose the task to attach In field 1, start typing the name of the task that should become a subtask and select it from the list. Step 4 — Choose the parent task In field 2, start typing the name of the target task it should be nested under and select it. Step 5 — Attach Click "Attach as subtask". The task is moved under the parent (including a project move if needed). A confirmation appears and your tasks reload. PRIVACY Your API token is stored locally in your browser only and is sent exclusively to Todoist's official API (api.todoist.com). No data is collected, tracked or sent anywhere else. It is not created by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Doist Inc. or Todoist. --- GERMAN: Subtask Converter for Todoist macht aus jeder bestehenden Aufgabe mit wenigen Klicks eine Unteraufgabe (Subtask) einer anderen Aufgabe — ganz ohne Datenverlust. In Todoist gibt es keinen schnellen Weg, eine bestehende Aufgabe nachträglich unter eine andere zu hängen, vor allem nicht über verschiedene Projekte hinweg. Genau das löst diese Erweiterung. WAS SIE MACHT • Aufgabe auswählen, Ziel-Aufgabe auswählen, einmal klicken — fertig. • Nichts geht verloren: Beschreibung, Kommentare, Anhänge, Labels, Priorität und Fälligkeitsdatum bleiben erhalten. Die Aufgabe wird verschoben, nicht neu erstellt. • Automatische Projektverschiebung: Liegt die Ziel-Aufgabe in einem anderen Projekt, wird die Aufgabe automatisch dorthin verschoben. • Verfügbar auf Deutsch und Englisch (Umschalter oben rechts). SO FUNKTIONIERT ES — SCHRITT FÜR SCHRITT Schritt 1 — Todoist API-Token kopieren 1. Öffne Todoist im Browser (todoist.com) und melde dich an. 2. Klicke oben links auf dein Profilbild / deinen Avatar und wähle "Einstellungen". 3. Öffne in der Seitenleiste den Punkt "Integrationen". 4. Wechsle oben auf den Tab "Entwickler". 5. Kopiere den dort angezeigten "API-Token". Schritt 2 — API-Token in der Erweiterung hinterlegen 1. Klicke auf das Erweiterungs-Symbol in der Chrome-Symbolleiste. 2. Klicke oben rechts im Popup auf "API-Token". 3. Füge deinen Token ein und klicke auf "Speichern & Tasks laden". 4. Deine Aufgaben werden geladen — das musst du nur einmal machen. Schritt 3 — Aufzuhängende Aufgabe wählen Tippe in Feld 1 den Namen der Aufgabe ein, die zur Unteraufgabe werden soll, und wähle sie aus der Liste. Schritt 4 — Ziel-Aufgabe wählen Tippe in Feld 2 den Namen der Ziel-Aufgabe ein, unter die sie gehängt werden soll, und wähle sie aus. Schritt 5 — Anhängen Klicke auf "Als Subtask anhängen". Die Aufgabe wird unter die Ziel-Aufgabe verschoben (inkl. Projektwechsel, falls nötig). Eine Bestätigung erscheint und deine Aufgaben werden neu geladen. DATENSCHUTZ Dein API-Token wird ausschließlich lokal in deinem Browser gespeichert und nur an die offizielle Todoist-API (api.todoist.com) gesendet. Es werden keine Daten gesammelt, getrackt oder an Dritte übermittelt. Dies ist eine unabhängige Erweiterung. Sie wird nicht von Doist Inc. oder Todoist erstellt, unterstützt oder beworben.
