SubTap - Dual Subtitles for YouTube™

Learn languages on YouTube: original and translated subtitles together, translated sentence by sentence. Click a word to look it up.

Learn languages with YouTube: watch with two subtitle lines at once — the original and a translation — and click any word to look it up. • Full sentences, perfectly in sync: subtitles are first rebuilt into complete sentences, then the whole video is translated sentence by sentence in advance, so translations never go missing or lag behind. • Translate to: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean. • Click a word: hear it read aloud and open a dictionary panel with reading (kana / pinyin), meanings in your language, part of speech, example sentences with human translations, and every sentence in this video that uses the word (click to jump there). • Japanese subtitles show furigana; Chinese subtitles show pinyin. • Pause while the mouse is over the subtitles; show subtitles over the video or below it (also in full screen). • Switches back to the original audio when YouTube auto-plays a dubbed track. Privacy: no account, no ads, no tracking, no server of its own. The first time you use it, the extension asks for your consent before sending subtitle text and the words you click to Google Translate and public dictionaries. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
