Overview

Sign in with Google and SubSense organises the channels you follow into smart categories.

SubSense organises the YouTube channels you subscribe to. Sign in with Google and SubSense sorts your subscriptions into smart categories, so a list you have not looked at in years becomes something you can actually read. WHAT IT DOES • Smart categories. Your channels are sorted into 23 categories by a keyword engine that runs entirely in your browser. No machine learning service, no server, no upload. • See which channels have gone quiet, or flood your feed. SubSense reads each channel's real upload history: "quiet" means no upload in 60 days (you can change this to anywhere from 30 to 180), and a "flooder" posts 21 or more times a week. • A feed health score, built from data already in your browser. • Unsubscribe without leaving the page. You approve every removal — never automatically, and never without seeing exactly what will be removed first. Changed your mind? Undo re-subscribes you and puts the channel back in its category. • Unsubscribing on YouTube is free and unlimited: open any channel from the list and remove it there, as often as you like. SubSense also does it in-app for you, 10 removals to start. SubSense Pro unlocks unlimited in-app removals in the iPhone and Android apps; this extension has no purchase. • Try the demo — sample data, no sign-in needed. Every screen works on a fictional feed before you give SubSense access to anything. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No server. Nothing you do here is sent to us, because there is no "us" to send it to. SubSense talks only to Google's own YouTube API, directly from your browser. • No ads, no analytics, no tracking. • It does not read or change youtube.com pages. It has no access to your browsing. • No notifications, no background sync. Nothing happens unless this page is open. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN WORDS SubSense asks for two YouTube permissions in one consent screen when you sign in: read access to your subscription list, and permission to unsubscribe you from channels you have chosen and confirmed. It asks for no Google profile permissions — it does not read your name, email address or profile photo. Cached YouTube data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, which is YouTube's own limit, and SubSense warns you in the three days before it happens. SubSense is an independent tool, not affiliated with YouTube. Privacy policy: https://www.subsenseapp.com/privacy
