Overview
Dual subtitles on Netflix, YouTube and Disney+. Click any word for its meaning, save it with the scene, review it later.
Watch Netflix, YouTube and Disney+ with two subtitles at once: the original line and your own language, one under the other. Click any word for its meaning, save it with the scene, and review it later. WHY SUBPAIR • Instant, no waiting: when a Netflix show or YouTube video already has a subtitle track in your language, SubPair lines the two tracks up the moment you press play — human-quality subtitles, unlimited on the free plan • Works on Disney+ too, line by line: each line is auto-translated as it appears on screen • Save phrases, not just words: select several words or a whole sentence and keep it with the line and the moment it came from • Saving and spaced-repetition review are free and unlimited — no account needed • Interface in 11 languages: English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese HOW IT WORKS • Press play — both subtitle lines appear automatically • Auto-translation only fills the lines that are missing, or steps in when no track in your language exists • If a title can't be subtitled, the side panel tells you why and which languages are available • No account needed — install and start watching LEARN WHILE YOU WATCH • Click any word in the subtitles to see its meaning — word look-ups don't use your daily auto-translation lines • Review saved words with spaced repetition (Again · Good · Easy), right in the side panel • Searchable transcript, watch history, CSV and SRT export • Learning shortcuts: blur the translation (Alt+B), auto-pause after each line (Alt+P), loop a sentence (Alt+L), A / S / D to jump between sentences PLATFORMS • Netflix — dual subtitles from Netflix's own subtitle tracks • YouTube — dual subtitles from the video's own captions (videos with captions) • Disney+ — line by line: each line is auto-translated as it appears on screen • Subtitle settings in the side panel — size, position, original line, blur, auto-pause and auto-translation on/off — apply the same way on every site FREE PLAN • Unlimited dual subtitles from the platform's own subtitle tracks • 100 auto-translated lines per day (word look-ups don't count — up to 300 a day) • Works without an account; sign in only to sync across devices • Click-word dictionary, unlimited saving, review, transcript, CSV and SRT export • Reaching the daily limit never stops your video — untranslated lines simply show the original text PRO — $4.99/month or $39/year • Unlimited auto-translation • Per-line appearance: size, color, shadow and box style for each subtitle line • Anki export with scene context (word, meaning and the subtitle line it came from) SUBTITLE LANGUAGES 32 subtitle languages, including English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. PRIVACY Settings and saved words are stored in your browser; an account is optional. Subtitle lines are sent to SubPair's server for translation only when auto-translation is needed and you have allowed it — you can turn it off at any time. A word you click for its meaning is sent the same way, only while auto-translation is on; before you have made that choice, the dictionary asks first (Translate / Not now) and sends nothing until you choose Translate. If you sign in (email or Google), your saved vocabulary and daily learning totals (minutes watched with SubPair, words saved and reviewed) sync to your account. Without an account, the daily limits are counted against a salted one-way hash of your IP address — the IP itself is never stored. When a line or word is sent for auto-translation, the request also names the platform, the episode or video title and its watch-page address; SubPair keeps a short record of each such request (with one sample line and its translation) for 30 days, only to find and fix bad translations. Nothing about what you watch is sent when no auto-translation is involved. If you contact support from the side panel, your message (and, if you leave the box ticked, the diagnostic details it lists) is stored so we can answer. SubPair does not sell any data. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netflix, YouTube/Google or Disney. It works on top of your own subscription and does not provide or unlock any video.
