)Overview
A local-first study workspace extension for focused sessions, source capture, notes, flashcards, and analytics.
StudyLock turns your browser into a focused study workspace. Start timed study sessions, block distracting sites, save useful academic sources, capture highlights, create flashcards, manage tab groups, and review your study activity in a local dashboard. What StudyLock does: • Start focused study sessions by course, task, goal, and duration • Block distracting websites using blocklist mode • Restrict browsing to approved study sites using allowlist mode • Choose Soft, Normal, or Strict bypass modes • Save the current page as a source with citation draft metadata • Capture selected text as highlights and notes • Create flashcards from highlights or manually • Save and restore current-window study tab groups • View session summaries and analytics • Export flashcards as CSV and sources/notes as Markdown • Back up and restore local data as JSON Privacy: StudyLock is local-first. It has no account system, no backend, no cloud sync, no external analytics, no external fonts, and no AI API. Study data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. Limitations: StudyLock provides useful study friction, not device-level lockdown. Users can disable browser extensions. Citation drafts should be checked before academic submission.
