Synlecto opens as a browser extension beside supported lecture and video pages, such as Panopto! Then creates a source-linked study route from the current transcript or captions after the learner chooses Create study route. Start with Essentials, then move into Flashcards and Missions for active recall. Built for lecture-based study support ‣ Study alongside the video instead of switching tabs. ‣ Create Essentials, Flashcards, and Missions from supported lecture pages. ‣ Keep source support and timestamps visible where the lecture provides them. ‣ Jump from a study point back to the source moment when replay is available. ‣ Sync generated guides to the Synlecto Dashboard for later revision. ‣ Use accessibility and comfort controls, including text size, spacing, reduced motion, panel width, and theme presets. How it works 1. Open a supported lecture page. 2. Click the Study Companion extension. 3. Choose Create study route. 4. Review Essentials beside the video, then practise with Flashcards and Missions. Privacy note ‣ Nothing is sent until you choose Create study route. ‣ The extension sends transcript or caption text, the video title, and the source URL to Synlecto servers only to create and sync your study materials. ‣ Extension data is used only to provide or improve the Study Companion features you request. ‣ Synlecto does not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use your content to train models. ‣ Synlecto may store generated guides, study state, metadata, and short source/evidence excerpts or anchors needed for guide continuity, quality, and source-linked review. Full raw transcripts are not used as normal synced study state. ‣ Synlecto shares data only with service providers needed to provide the product, such as hosting, authentication, payment, AI-processing, and error-monitoring providers, under appropriate safeguards. ‣ Manage or delete your data in Synlecto settings.
