Overview

Sync your saved lists and watch history between your streaming services and StreamySync, in both directions.

Your watchlist should not live in a different place for every service. StreamySync Connect syncs your saved lists and watch history between all of the major streaming services and your StreamySync account, in both directions, without ever asking for a streaming password. ONE LIST, WHEREVER YOU ARE Save a film while you are browsing one service and it is in StreamySync a moment later. Save it in StreamySync and it is waiting in that service's own list when you sit down in front of the TV. No more keeping a separate list everywhere and trying to remember which one has the thing you wanted to watch. RECOMMENDATIONS BUILT ON WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WATCHED Your watch history is the harder half: most services only expose what is recent or still in progress, so what comes in is a partial picture rather than a lifetime record. It is still the most useful signal StreamySync has. It sharpens what gets recommended to you, and it keeps shows you have already finished out of your suggestions. The extension covers the major subscription services and some regional catch-up players. Which ones you see depends on the services you have added to your StreamySync account, and the preferences page lists every one it supports along with exactly what each supports. WHAT COMES IN - Your watch history from each service. - Each service's own saved list, whatever that service happens to call it, imported as StreamySync watchlist items rather than as things you have watched. - Sync one service at a time, or all of them one after another. - Nothing runs on its own: a sync happens when you press Sync, and never in the background. WHAT CAN GO OUT (off until you turn it on) - Titles on your StreamySync watchlist can be added to a service's own saved list, so a film you saved in StreamySync is waiting for you when you open that service. Available on every service the extension supports. - This is off by default, and switched on one service at a time, in a column headed "Out to the service" that names the list each one writes to. - It only ever ADDS. Nothing is removed from any service list, ever. There is no removal code in the extension. - A review page opens first, listing exactly what would be added, newest first, grouped by service when you sync several at once. Nothing is written until you confirm. You can switch the review off if you would rather it add straight away. - Nothing happens in the background at all, so every write follows a sync you started, in a window you have open. - A title is only matched when exactly one candidate on that service matches its name, type and year. If several match, you are asked which one you meant. If none match, it is skipped rather than guessed at. - Each title is tried once, and only for titles the service actually streams on subscription in your country. Rent and buy do not count. NO STREAMING PASSWORDS This extension never asks for a streaming password and cannot see one. It works through the session you are already signed in with in this browser, exactly as the site does when you use it yourself. If you are not signed in to a service, the extension opens that service so you can sign in yourself. WHAT LEAVES YOUR BROWSER Only normalised titles are sent to your StreamySync account: the show or movie name, season and episode where applicable, and the date watched when the service provides one. No credentials, cookies or tokens are ever transmitted or stored by StreamySync. WHAT TO EXPECT Saved lists import in full everywhere. Watch history is uneven, because it depends on what each service chooses to expose on the web: - Some publish a full viewing history, and you get all of it. - Most publish only a continue-watching shelf, so you get recent and in-progress titles rather than a lifetime record. - A few publish no history at all, only an up-next queue, so only titles you are part-way through count as watched. The preferences page labels every service with which of those three it is, so you know what to expect before you sync rather than after. A few other things worth knowing: - Some services are available in one country only, and are shown greyed out when you are somewhere else. - Some have regional editions, so what you see follows the country your connection is in as well as the profile you are using. - Where a service has profiles, everything follows whichever profile is signed in in this browser, so switching profile changes what is synced. - Re-syncing is safe: imports are duplicate-checked, so nothing is added twice. REQUIREMENTS - A free StreamySync account (streamysync.com). You connect it once from the extension and it stays connected. - You must be signed in to each streaming service in this browser. StreamySync Connect is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any streaming service. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
