Overview

Adjust playback speed and volume

Easily modify the playback speed of videos that play in Chrome. It works on many websites, from news, social media, and popular streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, DisneyPlus, and YouTube. Video speed can be adjusted from 0.1x to 16x with hotkeys or a slider bar, great for seeing slo-mo or speeding through audiobooks. Use + - keys to increase or decrease playback speed, or use the square bracket [ ] keys (some sites change caption size with +/-) Backspace and \ keys both reset speed to 1x Please contact me if you have any issues or suggestions that I can fix for you, and leave a review if you enjoy using it! Update April 2025 - Version 4.1.0 Added fix for Disney Plus. They had made a DOM change with multiple videos being added, so the speed changing function was targeting the wrong video. No changes otherwise to extension functionality or appearance. Update November 2023 - Version 3.0.0 Updated the slider label to match speeds up to 16x. Update September 2023 - Version 2.0.6 Minor bug fixes Update August 2023 - Version 2.0.3 Now works with most websites that have video, including iframe videos. Please report any sites that do not work and I will look into why. Added alternative keyboard keys for changing speed, the two square bracket keys and the backslash key [ ] \.
