Stowshelf — save to your shelf

Save links, images and notes from any page to Stowshelf, your visual bookmark shelf. One click, or one shortcut.

Stowshelf is a visual shelf for everything you save online: links, images, notes and places, shown as cards you can actually look at, grouped into collections, searchable by page text. This extension puts the shelf one click away. • Click the toolbar button or press Alt+Shift+S to save the current page. Rename it and pick a collection right there, or add it to Up next. • Right-click any page, link, image or selection → Save to Stowshelf. • Optional, off until you turn it on in Options: select text and a small pill appears to save it as a Note, grab an Image, or Bookmark the page; hover a large image and click Stow to save the page with that picture as its cover. • Works offline: saves wait in the extension until you open stowshelf.com, then appear on your shelf. Privacy: the extension sends nothing to any server. By default it can only touch the tab you click to save from, at the moment you click. It keeps what you saved in your browser's extension storage and hands it to the Stowshelf web app when that tab is open. If you sign in to Stowshelf, your shelf syncs to your account; without an account it stays on your device. The optional selection pill and Stow button ask for access to the sites you visit when you turn them on in Options, look only at what you select or point at, and can be turned off (which gives the access back) at any time. Stowshelf is free to start, works without an account, and installs as a web app on your phone and computer. Import your Pocket, browser or Raindrop bookmarks at stowshelf.com.
