It only works on public profiles, the same ones you could find by searching on Snapchat directly, so there is nothing hidden or private being accessed. ✨ Key features Search history: The extension remembers the last 3 usernames you successfully looked up, so you can check on the same profiles again with a single click. Only valid, found profiles are saved, so your history stays clean and useful. Smart tab handling: If you are already browsing storylooker.com, the extension will redirect you in the same tab instead of opening a new one. If you are on another site, it opens the viewer in a new tab so you do not lose your place. Fast loading: When you search, the extension fetches the profile data and passes it directly to the viewer page so it can display the story without making a second request. This makes the viewer load noticeably faster. ⚡ Username flexibility: You can paste a full Snapchat profile URL (snapchat.com/add/username or snapchat.com/@username) and the extension will extract the username automatically. You can also type with or without the @ symbol. Input validation: The extension checks the username format before making any request, so you get instant feedback if something looks wrong before any network call is made. 🚀 How to use it Click the StoryLooker icon in your Chrome toolbar. Type or paste a Snapchat username (or a full Snapchat profile URL). Click "View Anonymously" or press Enter. If the profile is public and exists, you will be taken to the story viewer. Use the recent history list to quickly re-visit profiles you have searched before. What it does not do It does not work on private accounts. If a Snapchat profile is set to private, the extension will tell you the user was not found or the profile is private, same as trying to view it on the website directly. It does not store your searches anywhere except locally on your own device. It does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information. About StoryLooker StoryLooker is a web-based Snapchat story viewer available at storylooker.com. The extension brings the same functionality directly into your Chrome toolbar so you do not have to navigate to the website each time. You can also use the extension to quickly jump to the Profile Viewer and Story Downloader tools available on the site. The Profile Viewer lets you browse a Snapchat user's public profile details, and the Story Downloader lets you save stories to your device directly from the browser. 🔒 Permissions used Tabs: Needed to check whether you are currently on storylooker.com and to open or redirect to the viewer page. Storage: Needed to pass the pre-fetched profile data from the popup to the viewer page so the story loads faster. No other permissions are requested. The extension only communicates with the API that checks Snapchat profiles and storylooker.com. It does not read or access any other tabs or websites you visit.
