Overview
Save your tabs into sessions and never lose them. Verified saves, three local copies, import from Arc and OneTab.
StoreTabs saves the tabs in a window as a session and closes them, so you can get back to them later. Unlike most tab managers, it is built around one promise: your tabs never get lost. NOTHING CLOSES UNTIL IT IS SAVED StoreTabs writes your tabs to its archive, reads them back and checks every one. Only then are they closed. If anything fails, your tabs stay open. THREE COPIES, ALWAYS • The archive inside the extension • A "StoreTabs" folder in your bookmarks, which survives uninstalling the extension and syncs with your browser • An optional daily backup file, kept for 10 days, in Downloads/StoreTabs or a folder you choose, for example in Dropbox or iCloud Drive The archive shows where your tabs are stored and whether the copies match. Reinstalled the extension? StoreTabs restores your sessions from the bookmark folder automatically. FREE SYNC BETWEEN YOUR DEVICES The bookmark folder travels with your browser's own bookmark sync (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave). StoreTabs on your other computer picks the sessions up automatically. No account, no server, nothing sent to us. Changes never overwrite each other: the newest wins and the older version is kept in the history. You can even open saved sessions as bookmarks on your phone. AN ARCHIVE YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE • Name and pin sessions • Search titles and addresses across everything you have saved • Save every window at once, or only the tabs you select with Shift- or Cmd/Ctrl-click • Tab groups are kept: names, colors and which tabs belong together come back when you open the session • Large sessions open fast: only the first tab loads, the rest when you click them • Right-click to save a tab, a window or all windows, or add tabs to a session you already have • Type “st” and a space in the address bar to search your saved tabs • Drag tabs to reorder them or onto another session, and remove duplicates in one click • Edit sessions: remove tabs (with undo), move tabs between sessions, merge two sessions • Share a session or window as a link: the tabs travel inside the link, nothing is uploaded • Copy a session as links, Markdown or a list you can paste into email and documents • Restore a whole window or open a single tab • Reopen a session, close some tabs and update it, or save it as a new one • Earlier versions of every session are kept, and you can restore them • Deleted sessions stay in the trash for 30 days • Recently open: StoreTabs quietly keeps track of your open windows, so you get them back after a crash or a window closed by accident (kept 7 days, on this computer only) MOVING FROM ARC OR ANOTHER TAB MANAGER? Import your Arc Spaces, sessions exported from other tab managers, or any bookmark file. The format is detected automatically. Arc shuts down on 22 December 2026, so bring your Spaces with you now. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • We never see your tabs. StoreTabs has no servers and sends nothing to us. • Sync uses your browser's own bookmark sync, so your sessions only go where your bookmarks already go. Turn the bookmark copy off to keep everything on this computer. • No account, no tracking, no ads, no analytics. • StoreTabs will never be sold quietly. If ownership ever changes, users will be told 60 days in advance. Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+S saves and closes the tabs in the current window.
