If you're trying to view a extension inspect your extensions mainfest.json like this too see your extensions local storage chrome-extension://<your_extension_id>/manifest.json

Outdated. Does not work for service workers nor for extensions that only store and read chrome extension data through content scripts. In fact, doesn't even seem to work on its own background page.

Fantastic, works exactly as advertised and came through in a pinch. For anyone who missed it, make sure you inspect the page in order to find the Storage Area Explorer tab.

Doesn't work for background service workers.

Please add support for MV3 service worker. I am able to check the storage data by opening extension manifest file in a separate tab and check the dev console in that tab. But this workaround is a bit annoying. Also chrome storage api has a new 'Session' type storage. Would be helpful if we can view that as well.
