StiqNote: Visual Website Feedback, Annotation & Bug Reports
Overview
Visual website feedback: annotate any page, collect client feedback with no install, and send bug reports to Jira, GitHub or Slack.
StiqNote lets your team and your clients leave feedback right on a website. Click the spot, type your note, and it stays pinned to that element for everyone. Clients can comment without installing anything, and every note can carry a screenshot, console logs and a replay of what happened. It works on live sites, staging and localhost, whatever the site is built with. StiqNote draws on top of the page and never changes it. WHO IT'S FOR Agencies and freelancers use it to review sites with their clients and get sign-off. Designers and testers use it to check the live site and report what's wrong. Developers get reports with everything they need to fix the problem. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in with Google, GitHub or your email address, then open a page and press Shift+C, or click the comment button in the StiqNote toolbar. 2. Click the element you want to talk about and write your comment. 3. Your team sees it right away. Reply, assign it, and resolve it when it's done. A short Getting started checklist walks a new team through its first comment, inviting people, a guest link and connecting its tools. ANNOTATE ANY WEBSITE • Pin a comment to any element: buttons, headings, images, forms. • Draw a box around a whole section to comment on all of it. • Select text and comment on the exact words. • Add a screenshot and mark it up with arrows, boxes, text and blur, or attach files. • Every report carries the browser, OS and screen size it came from. • Suggest an edit: change the copy or the styles right on the page, and your team previews the change before anyone codes it. (Pro) BUG REPORTS THAT EXPLAIN THEMSELVES (Pro) • The last 3 minutes of the page is attached as a replay, so developers see what happened before the bug. • Console errors and failed network requests come with the report. • Record the tab with your voice for anything that's easier to show than to write. • Browser, screen size and device are added for you. Typing is never recorded, and password and card fields record nothing. REVIEW WITH CLIENTS • Send a guest link. Clients comment on the site without installing anything, in any browser and on their phone. • Guests are free and unlimited on every plan, and only see the sites you share with them. • Private comments stay inside your team. • Client sign-off and approvals (Agency): start a review round for the whole site or the pages you pick, and clients approve each page or ask for changes. Set a deadline with automatic reminders; comments pause when it passes. You see who answered and when. • Your branding (Agency): your logo, colour and name on the review page, the guest bar and the emails your clients get. KEEP TRACK OF IT ALL • A sidebar with every comment on the page, every page on the site, and an inbox for mentions and assignments. • Statuses, priorities, assignees and due dates. • @mention a person or the whole team. • Everything updates live for everyone on the page, and you see who's typing. • Email summaries and desktop notifications. • Read and answer comments from your AI coding tools through the StiqNote MCP server. (Pro) SEND IT TO YOUR TOOLS (Pro) • Issue trackers and project tools, such as Jira and GitHub: send a thread as an issue or task with its screenshot, replay link and logs, or link it to one that already exists. • Two-way sync: resolving in StiqNote closes the issue, closing the issue resolves the thread, and replies can sync both ways. • Team chat: new comments, replies and status changes posted to the channel you pick, with Resolve and Assign buttons in Slack. • Webhooks: signed events for comments, replies and status changes, for anything else you use. • A different project or channel per website, so each client's comments land in the right place. • Send by hand, or have every new comment sent on its own. STAYS OUT OF THE WAY • Hidden by default in email, chat, social media, video and other apps where you never need it. Turn it on for a site with one click. • Hide it on any page or site, or pause it everywhere. The toolbar icon turns grey when StiqNote is hidden. • Error reports are opt-in: StiqNote asks before it sends one, and you can choose Always or Never in Settings. • Light and dark mode. • Keyboard shortcuts for everything, and you can change them: Shift+C comment, Shift+A area, Shift+S suggest an edit, C comment on selected text, Shift+N / Shift+P next and previous comment, Shift+R sidebar, Shift+F toolbar.
