StepsKit Tour Builder opens on your own site, lets you click the element a step should point at, and writes the result straight to your StepsKit project. What you position is what your users see, because the extension renders with the same engine that runs in production. FOUR SURFACES, ONE BUILDER • Tours — multi-step walkthroughs anchored to real elements, with callouts and modals • Tooltips — standalone hints that sit on a single element • Announcements — banners for launches, migrations, and maintenance • Surveys — in-product questions asked at the right moment WHY BUILD IN THE PAGE • Click to anchor — select any element and the builder generates a CSS selector for it, refuses selectors that would match a different element on another page, and warns you when one is built only from styling classes • Live preview — step through what you have built, in place, before anyone else sees it • No install required to build — the builder runs from the extension, so you can design onboarding before the StepsKit snippet is on the site • Synced both ways — everything you build appears in your StepsKit dashboard, and everything already there can be edited here ACCESS, ONE SITE AT A TIME The extension can read no page until you say so. It ships with access to stepskit.com only; every other site is granted individually from the popup, and revoked whenever you like from Chrome's extension settings. SIGNING IN There is no separate extension account. Sign in to your StepsKit dashboard and the extension picks up that session. REQUIREMENTS A StepsKit account (https://www.stepskit.com). Publishing what you build to real visitors also needs the StepsKit snippet or npm package installed on your site.
