Steps to Fluency — Watch helper
Overview
Loads a YouTube video's captions from your own session into your Steps to Fluency tab. Captions stay in your browser.
Steps to Fluency — Watch helper turns a YouTube video into reading practice. When you press "Get transcript" on a Steps to Fluency Watch page, this helper reads the video's captions from your own YouTube session and hands them to your Steps to Fluency tab. There you study them like any other reading lesson — tap any word to look it up or save it to your review schedule, follow the transcript as it syncs to the video, and see your comprehension at a glance. • Your captions stay in your browser. The caption text is read and parsed on your device and passed straight into your Steps to Fluency tab. It is not sent to any third party. • No downloading of audio or video. Only the text captions the video already provides are read. • A manual fallback always works. If the helper can't read a video, you can still paste a transcript by hand — the helper is a convenience, not a requirement. • No account of its own, no tracking, no ads. The helper doesn't sign in anywhere or run analytics. Requires a Steps to Fluency account (stepstofluency.com). Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, YouTube or Google.
