Overview
See when a key store sells a Steam game cheaper, right above Steam's Buy button. Free, no ads, no account needed.
Never overpay for a Steam game again. SteamSage is a free extension that tells you, on the Steam store page itself, whether the game you're looking at is cheaper somewhere else. No account, no ads, no tracking. HOW IT WORKS Install it once and forget it's there. When you open a game on the Steam store and a key store sells it for meaningfully less, SteamSage adds a compact panel just above Steam's own Buy button: how much you'd save, which shop has that price, and the key's region. One click takes you to the offer. When Steam is already the best deal, you get a single quiet line instead, with Steam's own all-time low so you know whether to buy now or wait for a sale. And when there's nothing useful to say, SteamSage adds nothing at all. No pop-ups, nothing floating over the page, nothing to close. That's the whole extension. It answers one question: "am I about to overpay for this?" WHAT IT COMPARES SteamSage compares Steam's current price with established key stores, where the same Steam key is often considerably cheaper. It only counts keys that will activate in your country, so a cheap region-locked key never shows up as a deal you can't use. Prices are refreshed around the clock. Prefer to stick to official stores? One switch in the toolbar menu hides key resellers, and any Steam page you have open updates instantly. WHY THE ALL-TIME LOW MATTERS A discount percentage tells you very little on its own. Plenty of games show "-50%" in every seasonal sale, which means that price is simply what the game costs, not an opportunity. SteamSage shows Steam's own all-time low next to today's price, so you can tell a genuine low from a recurring one in about two seconds. PRIVACY The extension reads one thing from the page you're viewing: the numeric Steam AppID in the URL. That's what we use to look up prices. It does not read your Steam profile, your wishlist, your library or your browsing history, it doesn't require an account, and it doesn't show advertising. Your one setting is stored by Chrome in your own browser profile. Full details are in the privacy policy linked from this listing. HOW IT STAYS FREE If you buy a game after clicking through, the shop may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not influence what we show you: the panel always shows the lowest activatable price we found, regardless of which shop it comes from.
