Steam TL;DR
Overview
AI summary of a game's recent Steam reviews, shown directly on its store page.
A Steam page tells you a game is "Very Positive". It doesn't tell you WHY, what players actually complain about, or whether things changed after the last patch. Steam TL;DR adds a small tab on every Steam store page. One click gives you an AI summary of the most recent and most helpful reviews: a one-line verdict, overall sentiment, recurring strengths and weaknesses, and notes about recent patches when reviews mention them. BRING YOUR OWN AI The extension works with your own API key, on the provider you prefer: • Anthropic Claude • OpenAI • Google Gemini • Local models via any OpenAI-compatible server (Ollama, LM Studio) PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no backend, no telemetry — the developer receives nothing • Your key is stored locally and sent only to your provider's endpoint • Reviews are read from Steam's public API; nothing is ever posted • 100% open source (MIT): github.com/luca-vullo/steam-tldr CONFIGURABLE • Review selection: hybrid most-helpful + most-recent, tunable scoring weights, savable presets • 5 languages for UI and summaries: EN, IT, ES, FR, DE • Local cache so repeat visits are instant and free Requires an API key from one of the supported providers (or a local model). AI-generated summaries can make mistakes — always check the reviews for important decisions. Not affiliated with Valve.
