Steam Promo Watch helps you catch limited-time free game giveaways on Steam without manually checking the store throughout the day. Install it once, choose how often it should check, and let the extension watch for new Steam games that are temporarily free to keep. When a new free game giveaway appears, Steam Promo Watch can notify you, update the toolbar badge, and keep a short local history so you can review recent finds later. Key features: • Automatic free game checks Steam Promo Watch periodically checks Steam for active Free to Keep game giveaways, so you do not have to keep refreshing the store manually. • Browser notifications Get notified when a new free game is found. Clicking a notification opens the Steam store page for the detected game giveaway. • Toolbar badge See the current active free game count directly on the extension icon. The badge helps you notice new Steam game giveaways at a glance. • Manual “Check now” Want to scan immediately? Open the popup and run a manual check whenever you want. • Recent free game history Steam Promo Watch keeps a limited local history of recently detected free Steam games, making it easier to review what was found and when. • Steam review badges When review data is available, game cards can show Steam user review summaries, helping you quickly decide whether a free game is worth adding to your library. • Ignore and restore Hide games you are not interested in, then restore ignored games later from Settings if you change your mind. • Practical filters Filter out content types such as DLC, demos, tools, soundtracks, or packages. You can also block specific app/package IDs or title keywords. • Quiet hours Use quiet hours to avoid notification interruptions during your chosen time window. • Local-first design Steam Promo Watch runs in your browser. It does not require a Steam login, does not connect to your Steam account, and does not use a separate server. What it tracks: Steam Promo Watch is focused on Steam “Free to Keep” game giveaways. These are limited-time offers where a paid Steam game can be claimed for free and kept in your library. What it does not track: This extension does not currently track temporary free play events such as Free Weekend or Play for Free campaigns. Privacy-focused by design: Steam Promo Watch stores settings, runtime state, ignored games, notification dedupe data, and limited free game history locally in your browser. It does not require account registration and does not send your personal data to a developer-operated server.
