Read long articles, documentation, recipes, lyrics, and comics without repeatedly scrolling by hand. Steady Scroll automatically scrolls the current web page at a speed you choose. FEATURES • Choose from 100 speed levels, from slow reading to fast skimming. • Scroll down or up. • Pause, resume, adjust speed, reverse direction, or stop using a compact on-page control bar. • Remember your preferred speed for each website. • Support many pages that scroll inside an inner container. • Automatically pause at the end of the page after briefly waiting for additional content to load. • Start or pause from the extension popup, keyboard shortcut, or right-click menu. KEYBOARD CONTROLS • Alt+S: start or pause scrolling (Option+S on Mac). • While scrolling: Space to pause or resume, Esc to stop, + / - to adjust speed, and R to reverse direction. • Shortcuts do not intercept typing in standard input fields. PRIVACY Steady Scroll requests temporary access to the current tab after a user action, rather than persistent access to all websites. Scrolling preferences, including site-specific speeds, are stored locally on your device. The extension does not transmit page content or browsing history to the developer and includes no analytics or advertising trackers. All scrolling features are free. An optional support link opens the developer's Ko-fi page. Chrome restricts extensions on certain pages, including chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store.
