LockYt is a lightweight Chrome extension that helps you use YouTube with fewer distractions. It lets you hide Shorts, recommendations, comments, live chat, playlists, search suggestions, and autoplay so you can focus on the video you actually came to watch. Instead of getting pulled into endless scrolling or suggested content, LockYt turns YouTube into a cleaner and more intentional viewing space. It is useful for studying, working, researching, learning, or watching videos without unnecessary interruptions. When Focus Mode is turned off, full individual control is restored, so you can choose exactly which YouTube elements you want to block. Take a Break Timer: Need temporary unrestricted access? Use the “Take a Break” timer to disable all blocks for 1 to 120 minutes. While the timer is running, the extension icon shows a live countdown. When time is up, LockYt automatically re-enables your blocks, so you do not need to remember to turn them back on.
