)Overview
Disable inline hyperlinks on documentation sites to stay focused during deep work.
Statica is a lightweight, strictly utilitarian Chrome extension designed for deep reading and distraction-free research. It solves one specific problem: the "rabbit hole" effect caused by inline hyperlinks on text-heavy websites. Statica temporarily DISABLES all inline hyperlinks on the page, stripping their styling and rendering them unclickable so you can read linearly, from start to finish. FEATURES: One-Click Focus: Click the Statica icon in your menu bar to instantly neutralize links on the current page. The text inherits the surrounding color. Context Preservation: Statica does not delete elements or break the page layout. It swaps the underlying code and restores the links perfectly the second you toggle it off. Dynamic Shielding: Built for the modern web. Whether you are navigating server-side rendered Wikipedia pages or dynamic Single-Page Applications (like Next.js or Supabase documentation), Statica actively filters new links as they load. Smart Exclusions: Table of Contents and anchor links remain fully functional, ensuring you can still navigate long documents without breaking your flow. PRIVACY FIRST & SECURE Statica requires zero external servers, uses no APIs, and collects absolutely zero user data. The extension runs 100% locally on your machine, operating completely invisibly until you click the switch. Please reach out to (thekevywevy@gmail.com) with bugs and feedback! Thank you!
