Private in-browser downloader for HLS, DASH & MP4 video. Not for YouTube or DRM content.

Stasha detects and saves streaming video that is playing in your browser — HLS (.m3u8), DASH (.mpd), and progressive MP4. Detection, format conversion (bundled libav.js WebAssembly) and saving all run on your device: no account, no companion app, and no server of ours — there is no Stasha server for your browsing or your media to reach. What it is for: - Saving video you are authorized to download — your own uploads, openly licensed / Creative Commons media, and content from sites that permit downloading. What it will not do: - YouTube is not supported. - DRM-protected video (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) is detected and refused — Stasha never attempts to break DRM. Privacy: - No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. Nothing is sent to the developer, ever. - Download history stays on your device and can be cleared at any time.
