TWO MODES, ONE CLICK TO SWITCH • Speed Dial mode: your favorite sites live as tiles in a dedicated "Startiles Speed Dial" bookmarks folder, arranged in groups. • Bookmarks mode: show your own bookmarks (the Bookmarks bar or any folder you choose) as a visual tile board. Top-level folders become groups, nested folders open as smooth animated windows, and nothing is copied or locked inside the extension. Renaming, moving or deleting a tile here changes your real bookmark, while Speed Dial mode leaves your own bookmarks untouched. FIND ANY BOOKMARK INSTANTLY Pick "Bookmarks" as the search engine and the tiles of all groups and folders are filtered while you type, by title or by address. Press Enter to open the first match, Esc to clear. Prefer the web? Use your favorite search engines directly from the new tab, with optional suggestions. Typing or pasting an address opens it directly. EVERYTHING YOU NEED • Groups bar, folders and nested folders. • Drag & drop: reorder tiles, drop one tile on another to make a folder, drop on a group tab to move it. • Tile thumbnails your way: site icons (choose between the available sizes), wide site logos, page previews, covers of the item itself (a video, movie, game, book or product shows its own picture), or your own image or file. • Select several tiles at once (long-press a tile): move them, open them, delete them, or change the title style, thumbnail mode and cover fit of all of them in one step. • Undo after deleting (Ctrl+Z): tiles and folders come back where they were. • Themes: Light, Dark, Midnight, Sand, automatic (follows your browser) or create your own. • Full layout control: tile size, ratio, corner size, gaps, columns, offsets, settings icon position. • Smooth animations, including 7 tile-delete effects and a lighter effect for deleting many tiles at once. Respects your system's "reduce motion" setting. • Full keyboard navigation, and a keyboard shortcut of your choice to open Startiles. • Available in 13 languages. Follows your browser’s language by default. • Export and import a backup of your settings, themes and tiles. Import also reads HTML bookmark files and exports of other speed dial extensions. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Tiles are ordinary browser bookmarks, so they follow your browser's own bookmark sync if you use it. No account, no ads. Startiles has no servers of its own and sends no analytics. To build thumbnails it only contacts what a tile needs: icon services, the websites you add (to read their icon and preview image), the services of sites whose covers it shows (for example YouTube), and the search engine you choose. Online screenshot services are off by default and used only if you turn one on. The optional online logo search (Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons) runs only when you press its button. You can switch off icon and preview lookups and search suggestions in Advanced Settings. GET STARTED Open a new tab. On the first start Startiles asks how you want to work: Speed Dials (its own folder, your bookmarks stay untouched) or Bookmarks (pick any bookmarks folder, and the search is set to Bookmarks right away). You can change this at any time in Advanced Settings. Click "+ Shortcut" to add a site.
