Starmarks Bookmark Manager

This is a limitation for Chrome extensions. It's either always on or always off based on what you select when the extension is installed. I tried to create a toggle for turning it on and off but Chrome doesn't like that. You have to disable it in your Chrome settings. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey Chloe, sorry to hear the new UI isn't working for you. I tried to keep the changes to a minimum. As far as missing bookmarks, that sounds like a bug but it's hard for me to evaluate with out more details. Clicking directly to the left of the star rating will set it to no stars. Sorry that's not more clear.

Update: For now you can only archive Starmarks. And you can archive multiple at once with drag select. Deleting a Starmark will probably be added in a future release. --------- Thanks for the great feedback! You can still search by exact title and by tag by clicking on the magnifying glass in the search bar. That will take you to advanced search where you can search by multiple criteria including tags and exact match title just like in the old version. And any advanced search can be saved as a smart collection for later. As far as there being Starmarks with no titles, I'm not sure what would cause that. The titles should match whatever title it sees on the associated bookmark. If they don't match let me know. The extension was rewritten from scratch but the goal is for it to do everything the old extension could do and more. Please let me know if you have any other feedback and thanks for being a user!

The extension reads but doesn’t modify the existing bookmarks in your browser so they should all still be there. There must be a bug in the legacy transfer process that’s making them display incorrectly. If you have additional details let me know. I’ll be working on a fix so we can get your starmarks displaying again. Edit: Thanks for the extra details. Sorting by date added is still available. The default ordering of Starmarks is by date added. You can also change the sort order at any time by clicking on the table headings in the Starmark manager. Starmarks get's it's initial data by reading from your existing bookmark collection. If you're talking about last visited, one issue could be that if you have cleared your browsing data in the past and included browsing history then there won't be any visit data for Starmarks to access. The old version of Starmarks depended on the Chome browser for visit data. With this update Starmarks now stores all data in it's own database to prevent visit information from being cleared by the browser. There's also now a feature to export and download a full backup of your Starmarks data and restore from that backup if needed.

Sorry to hear it’s giving you issues. Don’t worry, we’ll get your starmarks back. The extension doesn’t make any changes to your existing bookmarks so there’s most likely just a bug in the loading process that’s preventing them from displaying properly.
