Overview

Staple a week of Substack essays into one PDF, EPUB or HTML file — free posts, plus paid ones you already subscribe to.

Staple collects your week of Substack reading into one EPUB, PDF or HTML collection. Pick your publications — import your subscriptions in one click or add any publication by its address — choose a date range, and Staple gathers the longform posts you can read into one cleanly typeset file: • PDF — print-ready, with a cover, linked contents, page numbers and footnotes • EPUB — for Apple Books, Kobo, Calibre or Send to Kindle • HTML — a single self-contained file that opens in any browser, even offline FEATURES • Works with your own sign-in: free posts, plus paid posts you already subscribe to. • Never gets around paywalls. For paid posts you don't subscribe to, Staple can include only the free preview anyone can see, clearly marked "preview only" — handy for deciding what's worth subscribing to. • Groups: save sets of publications ("AI", "Politics", "Culture") and switch between them in one click. • Date range and minimum length filters, so you get essays rather than notes. • Clean reading: subscribe buttons and share widgets removed; tweets, videos and embedded posts turned into tidy quotes and links; footnotes kept and linked. • Image size: full width, 75%, 50%, 25% or none — smaller sizes make smaller files. • Every post links back to the original so you can like, comment and restack. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Staple reads your subscription list and the posts you pick through your own sign-in, and builds the file on your device. It has no analytics, no server and no ads; nothing is sent to the developer or anyone else. Collections you make are for your own reading. Free, with an optional tip link. Staple is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Substack Inc.; "Substack" is a trademark of Substack Inc.
