LeaveTheChair is a gentle stand-up / sit-break reminder for Chrome. When your interval is up, it shows a clear full-page prompt on the tab you’re actually looking at—so you notice it, without spamming every open tab. WHO IT’S FOR • People who spend long stretches in the browser for work, study, or coding • Anyone who wants a simple desk break habit: stand, stretch, walk, refill water WHAT YOU GET • Timed stand-up reminders with custom intervals • Optional work hours so alerts only fire when you want them • Active-tab overlay: reminder appears on the current page only • One-tap pause for meetings and screen shares • Skins & language: click the logo at the top-left of the popup to switch themes and toggle Chinese / English • Local-first privacy: settings and schedule stay on your device HOW TO USE 1. Install and open the popup to make sure reminders are on 2. Pick an interval (30–60 minutes is a good start) 3. Optionally set work hours 4. To change skins or language: click the top-left logo in the popup 5. When the overlay appears, stand up, move a bit, then dismiss to start the next cycle PERMISSIONS The extension needs page access to show the on-page reminder layer and bundled motion assets. It is not used for ads or selling browsing data. LeaveTheChair focuses on one job: help you break long sitting with a calm, visible reminder.
