SSEye - Inspect Server-Sent Events with rich JSON viewing, search, and diff capabilities
SSEye adds a dedicated panel to Chrome DevTools that captures every Server-Sent Events (SSE) stream on the page — ChatGPT, Claude, or your own app — with zero code changes. Streaming UIs are painful to debug: the Network tab shows one opaque pending request while dozens of events fly by inside it. SSEye splits that stream into individual, inspectable, diffable events. FEATURES • Universal capture — intercepts EventSource, fetch() with text/event-stream, and streaming XMLHttpRequest • Live event timeline — virtualized list that stays smooth at thousands of events (5,000 per tab) • JSON tree viewer — lazy-rendered, copy-on-hover on any node, double-click to copy key names • Diff any two events — unified or split view with word-level highlights; compare against the previous event or a pinned baseline • JSONPath filtering — $.type == "ping", plus plain-text and /regex/ search in the same box • Key pinning — pin a JSON path and the event list, detail pane, copy, and diff all focus on that key • Heartbeat filtering and collapsing of consecutive duplicate events • Built-in base64 decoding for wrapped payloads PRIVACY Everything stays in your browser. No data is collected or transmitted; storage is used only for your own preferences. No external network calls, no analytics, no remote code.
