Overview

See national and local authority connectivity bands easily.

Square Bands adds a panel to the Connectivity Tool Lite map showing where your selected square sits relative to other squares. For each mode of transport it shows two bands: National band. Which percentile band this square falls in, compared against every square sharing its ONS rural-urban class. Local authority band. A letter from A to J placing the square within its own local authority. A square that falls in more than one authority gets a letter for each. The panel appears automatically when you select a square. Nothing is stored, and the only thing sent off-site is the selected square's coordinates, to look up its rural-urban classification. An unofficial extension. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Transport.
